Income / Expenditures / Current balance - April expenses related to publication of the Spring ShortLine and the 3-Wall Court WorkDay . Current balance of the GCHA checking account is $8850.99.

George Coleman Memorial - The fund total increased by $50 to $ 301.00. Mike Reilly reports that currently, Green Township is planting no new trees. This policy is scheduled to be reviewed by them in a few weeks, and may change. Existing procedure is to charge donors $200 for the purchase of a tree which includes planting by the Green Township park staff and a memorial plaque. Mike also reported receiving no response to date on the details of donating George's Veteran's flag for display at the park.

Bruce Beimesch Memorial - Previously, a donation of $25 was approved and sent to the charity of Bruce's choice. Board members deferred discussion of an additional donation until more information becomes available from Green Township about the tree-planting program..

Membership Report - Membership remains at 123, with no new members during the past month.

Regional update - Jack Prather did not attend the meeting, but is scheduled to attend in June, following the national 4-wall tournament and USHA Board Meeting.

(Other) Larry Gray -- Larry recently had neck surgery. Jack Dean will handle sending an appropriate get well message to Larry on behalf of the GCHA.

(Other) Tournament - Paul Baker, and in abstentia Jack Prather, presented a proposal to the Board to co-host a "major doubles tournament" at his Fitness@Waycross club. The tournament would be USHA-sanctioned, and cities within a 500 mile radius of Cincinnati would be targeted for participation. Based on Paul's recent experience hosting a racquetball tournament, he suggested developing relationships with local hotels (which Paul will pursue) as well as trying to go outside the range of the GCHA membership to seek sponsorship from major companies and corporations. The Board agreed that this tournament could be a great event and will pursue the idea further with Paul Baker and Jack Prather at subsequent meetings. Timing, sponsorship, budget, and assignment of tasks are four items to be addressed with Paul and Jack at the next Board Meeting.
