Summer ShortLine - Jim Krailler has posted the
July 2005, Summer edition, of the ShortLine on the website. Printed
copies have been mailed to the few members who requested a print copy.
Reds Outing - The annual Reds outing took place on Friday, June 17th,
with a game between the Reds and the Atlanta Braves. A followup article
was published in the Summer ShortLine.
Member Survey - No progress on this item. Jim
will develop the survey, and bring a draft to a future board meeting.
USHA National Masters - There are still some outstanding
items left over from the tournament, including payments and merchandise
transactions and deliveries.
"Share The Passion" Tour - George Lehocky reminded
all that the USHA's "Share The Passion" Tour will be held at Tori's
Station on Monday, July 18th. Tom Sove, USHA representative, will
host the event and make a presentation to attendees about the fund-raising
effort. Cocktails and horsdoevres will be paid for by the USHA. George
requested that all Board members attend. Some members have not received
mailed invitations, but a copy was included in the ShortLine. The
Board agreed to pledge $500 to the Development Fund at the July 18th
tour event, with further discussion at the August board meeting.
GCHA Board Membership - Succession planning for
next year's Board was discussed, though final configuration of the
officers was not determined. Chris Lazarovski volunteered for board
membership. George Lehocky agreed to continue in the role of President
for one additional year, if no other candidates are nominated for
the post.
Fall Meeting - As noted above, the date for the
Annual Fall Meeting has been set for Monday, October 17th. The meeting
will begin at approximately 7:30 pm at the Athletic Club @ Waycross,

GCHA Golf Outing. The outing will be held at Greencrest Golf Course
on Friday September 16th. Everything, including cost, will be pretty
much the same as last year. Entry forms and information have been
published on the GCHA website and in the ShortLine.
