Future Handball
R. Weil submitted to the Board a written proposal/questions re: two potential projects.

Project 1.
Planned visit, via Ralph’s invitation, of Mike Dau, highly regarded Handball Coach at Lake Forest College near Chicago, IL to Cincinnati in the spring of  08 to conduct  3 and 4 wall handball clinics primarily but not exclusively for experienced players.  Clinics will run from Friday p.m. through Sunday a.m. at indoor and outdoor courts.

Project 2.
Handball teaching and play events currently scheduled on Saturdays at the Athletic Club at Waycross during the winter months.
Ralph’s questions were:

  1. What role will the GCHA assume in these projects (financial/administrative)?
  2. What will be charged to attend the Mike Dau project?
  3. What dates will be acceptable for the Mike Dau visit?
  4. How much money will the GCHA contribute to the Saturday events?

The Board accepted Ralph’s proposals for review and deliberation.  Some discussion, but the Board agreed to put  the topics on the agenda for the November 07 Board Meeting.
Also, will sense members at the Annual Meeting about the proposed Dau  event.
B. Burkitt suggested that consideration be given to  current annual support for colleges/university handball teams being converted to support for the Saturday events.

07 Golf Outing
The 07 Golf Outing financial report is expected to be received in November.
