2004 Columbus
3-Wall Tournament
August 7th & 8th

The annual Columbus 3-Wall tournament was held Saturday and Sunday, August 7th - 8th. Unseasonably cool weather and lots of sun combined to make a perfect tournament weekend.

Casey Mayo defeated Detroit's Pete Brown in a tie-breaker to win the Open Singles division. Jim Corrigan and Phil Kirk beat Casey and Ray Mayo in two games in the Open Doubles. Cincinnnati's Jim Krailler teamed up with Barry McAndrew (from Waterford, Ireland via Cleveland, Ohio) to win the A Doubles. Barry also took the B Singles title, defeating Columbus' Greg Macklin. In the 40+ Singles, Don Snider outlasted Toledo's Bruce Frankenfield. In the 50+ Singles round-robin, John Friedrich was the undefeated champion. Jack Butler beat Steve Cirino in the C Singles, after losing the preliminary round to Steve in the B-Singles? And the 60+ Singles division will be completed (or not) the next time Kent Fusselman meets up with George Miller.

Thanks to all who came and played, and a special thanks to Steve Dykes for running the tournament. Complete brackets and results will be posted (or not -- it is the Columbus 3-Wall after all) when available.
