From the Shannon airport, the coach followed the route of the coast of County Clare.

The first stop was the Cliffs of Moher.

Cliffs of Mohrer

This impressive wall of rock rises to almost 700 feet above the foaming Atlantic breakers and runs 5 miles in length.

Leaving Mohrer, the trip continued on through the Burren Country, a region of rounded limestone hills.

Passing through one of the villages, Tommy pointed out the smallest house on the island. Only one room wide, a "For Sale" sign hangs above the door.

Outside the city of Galway is Galway Bay.

After we checked into The Clybaun Hotel, we had the afternoon at leisure. Some went to the workout room, some slept, some browsed the city, and a few hit the hotel pub.

Later in the evening, the group rejoined in the hotel restaurant for dinner, followed by a trip to the pub..
