Veterans Park Handball Courts Celebrate 10th Anniversary

In 1997 Green Township, the State of Ohio and the Greater Cincinnati Handball Association joined forces to build regulation, three wall handball courts at Veterans Park. The land was provided by Green Township and funding was accomplished through a matching funds grant from the State and contributions from the GCHA. The courts were dedicated in May of 1998 and have been maintained and improved over the years.

The courts are enjoyed regularly by handball and racquetball players. The courts are named in memory of a prominent local player, Bob Caples. An annual handball tournament is held each summer drawing players from many states including Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Florida, Missouri, Oklahoma and New York.
