With a successful slam in the C division, Carlos Vazquez, of Cleveland, Ohio ended the Ohio Championships. Carlos won the
singles over Akron's newest star Jim Flynn, and teamed up with tournament director Joe Gruden to win doubles with a two
game win over Cleveland's newer player's Brett Aber and Eric Forman.

Casey Mayo, threepeets in the Open Singles with a tiebreaker win over Toledo's Phil Kirk. Phil ousted Dave Martin to advance
to the final match. And Casey beat a strong Chris Sammarone of Youngstown Ohio in the other semi final match.

Will Straw and Jim Krailler successfully defended their 50+ Doubles crown over a very tough team from Niagara Falls New
York, Gary Fiorucci and Ralph Penale.

Rocco Dolciato wins the " B" Singles title with a victory over Youngstown's Jeff Patterson. Rocco teamed up with one of his
brother's, Ron, in the " B " Doubles Final. The father and son team of Chuck Sr. and Charlie Jr. prevented the slam with a two
game victory.

Cincinnati's Paul Baker wins over Ray Mayo of Columbus in the 50+ Singles. The event had sixteen player's this year.

John Friedrich wins in two games against the veteran Jack Prather in the 40+ Singles. John won the 50+ division last year !

Sam Sottosanti Jr. takes the " A" Singles with a win over Ashtabula's Kevin Hoag.

We were proud to have a ten player Novice division. Cincinnati's Doug Cox wins over Mike Richardson.

No team had an answer for Jim Wohl and Marty Clemens in the Open Doubles. Even the cousin team of Kirk Rys of Pittsburgh
and Dave Martin of Erie Pa. couldn't stop this team this year.
